This note dates back to mid-April 2023
I recently met Omid-X in Paris, just after Easter celebrations. He was not in a good mood, and his foul disposition had nothing to do with any holiday season overindulgence or hangovers. He was emotionally and spiritually overwrought.
He called me and told me that he was in Paris for a few days, on his way to Boston. He wanted to see me desperately and quickly, because he needed to share some important news as well as feelings with me.
I was initially taken back by the tone of his voice and the fact that he continues to trust me to share his feelings. Then I realized that it is in his nature to over-emphasize his feelings when he is at important decision moments; and his voice told me that he was at one of those situations. So, I told him to meet me at a café in Place de la Contrescarpe, in Paris’ 5th arrondissement.
It was one of those windy and drizzly early Spring days in Paris, which come after a few days or so of nice Spring weather in March. All in all, a good day to hang out in a café in a trendy and decidedly cozy neighborhood.
I had just sat down, when Omid-X appeared sort of from nowhere and said: «Hi Henry, thanks for coming. I need to talk to you. I need your advice, because I am seriously considering leaving your planet and returning to mine!»
With those words, he sat down, ordered an ‘Expresso Noisette’ coffee, and opened up without any warning. He told me that 2022 was not a pleasant year for him, and that 2023 was not getting any better. He told me that in spite of progressing in his reports about Earth, he had become disillusioned about his mission, and was not seeing the value that spending more time on Earth would bring to his soul. He also told me that he had decided to move to, and settle for a while in, Boston, Massachusetts, in the US. He thought based on his readings, that the region and the city would provide him valuable insights about one of the greatest human experiences in forming a society. He also said that he has found a couple who just moved to the area and have a spare bedroom that they are willing to rent to him. In return, he would pay them some rent, and cook for them 3 nights a week. He, of course, kept his origins confidential, and told them that his name was Bob, and he was from Moldova.
Anyways, we had a number of encounters during those early Spring days. I did not try to sway his opinion. I just reminded him that since he had decided and made commitment to spending time in Boston, he should perhaps follow suit with it, at least for a while. I told him that the choice to quit will always exist, but the choice to continue may not be available, if at a later date he decides to come back.
So he decided to move to Boston, and just as we were saying goodbye, he dropped the bombshell: He will suspend sending me his old emails from the 2020 to early 2023 period, and start with more recent ones. One day, he may give them to me, but for now he told me to work with recent ones that will start flowing in soon. I may still have a few month's delay, but the emails will be more recent.
